Tire Mounting and Repair

St. Paul Automotive offers the residents of St. Paul, Minnesota essential high-quality automotive services, including tire mounting and repair. Early winter is the ideal time to get new tires for your vehicle. As we enter the harsh winter months in Minnesota, new tires will provide you the traction you will need to safely travel the cold, snowy, and icy roads of our beautiful state.

Importance of your Tires Maintenance

Your tires are the only part of your vehicle in contact with the road and as a result are vitally important to keeping you and your passengers safe. St. Paul Automotive mechanics have the knowledge and experience to mount new tires when necessary and repair damaged ones when possible. So, whether you need a brand new set of four tires or need us to remove a nail or screw from one tire and patch it, we will meet your needs and get your vehicle back on the road safely as soon as possible.

Repairing a damaged tire is not always possible. It is recommended that when something punctures your tire’s sidewall, you should immediately replace that tire. If you find that an object has lodged in the sidewall of a tire, it is more than likely that the structural integrity of the tire is too compromised to be repaired safely. In those cases, we generally recommend replacing the tire to eliminate the risk of a blow-out while you are driving. However, not all tire punctures result in tire replacement. It is very common for a tire to be punctured by a sharp object, such as a nail or a screw, and as long as the object is lodged in the tread of the tire, it can often be plugged or patched without losing its structural integrity.
